The Grizzly Bear
Glacier National Park is home to more than 1000 bears, both Black & Grizzly. While attacks are rare, it is important to be cautious of park guidelines to ensure the safety of everyone around these animals.
The Mountain Goat.
Roughly 1500 populate the park currently. These animals can be seen very regularly and are easy to spot on scenic routes & trails.
The Gray Wolf
After being reintroduced to the Glacier area with a small test population in 1979, the number has slowly grown to 50. These animals travel in packs and are rarely ever seen by tourists.
The Bighorn Sheep.
Less than a thousand (roughly 400-600) still roam Glacier National Park today.
